Life can be hectic with busy schedules, parenting, workout routines, attending classes, or taking care of the home. If we are not careful, we can live as if our schedules are our lives which can lead to stress and eventually illness. Are you taking time out for you? A higher idea would be to stop what you are doing, sit back and take 5 minutes and just breath, slowly and deeply. Now look around at the environment you are in. Become present to how you feel. What is truly important in life is learning how to be present to our own experiences. Now smile because every choice you have made has brought you to this place where you are right now. If you do not like where you are, you have the power to change it. Only you can bring happiness into your life.
Take a moment right now and reflect on who you have become. Reflect on how little or how much joy you have in your life. Are you pretending to be happy or do you feel you are living a life with integrity. Does your heart feel open or closed off to life? Reflect on the last time you felt connected and said, ‘I love you’ to someone you care about. We can underestimate our need for joy, our need for laughter, our need for love, and our need to nurture our mind, body and spirit.
When you take time to become present and drop the ‘I am too busy’ attitude, your stress will begin to dissolve. You can breath new life into all that you do through reflection, enquiry and being real with how you really feel. From this place you can begin to make new empowering choices which bring greater harmony and peace into one’s life.
I believe in you.
Namaste,
